The color of the Peruvian opal is a vibrant shade of turquoise. By being set in the cage mounting light can enter the stone from every side, the emphasises the translucent quality of the stone. The yellow sapphires bring out the slight greeish tone to the opal, and the milky white diamond matches the softness of the opals coloring. The vines on this pendant hold the chain or chord, but one of them also wraps and clings to one side of it giving the piece an assymetrical quality.
